Nomz Kitchen and Pastry: Grand Indonesia Jakarta

Nomz was founded by two young handsome chefs, named Arnold Poernomo (well known as one of the Indonesian Masterchef Judges) and Kim Pangestu. They were helped by some of other chef includes Reynold Poernomo (Chef’s Arnold’s younger brother) and Kha Nguyen (Master Chef from Australia).

The main door was located in the middle. When we entered the restaurant, our eyes will be so happy because surrounded by beautiful cakes with unique name (I bet you cannot resist any sugar tempation! :p). The waiter then will be asked where we want to sit based on our preference. This restaurant offers the outdoor and indoor table.
I have been there several times. The ambiance was good enough to hangout with friends. In the outside, the lighting was good to do photo session, while on the inside is a bit darker.

I picked the Treasure cake as the dessert. It consist of 3 layers, from the bottom to top: dark chocolate sponge, banana sponge, and red sponge; covered by dark chocolate and orange glaze. The appearance of the cake looks like normal cake, no fancy shape. The texture is soft like sponge (as their name). We can taste all of the combinations and it melts perfectly in our mouth. The taste does not really sweet like usual cake.

From the appearance, you can guest that this cake made from chocolate. In line with the name "Addiction", this cake perfect for chocolate addict like me! You can taste the chocolate melt like everywhere in your mouth

Alice in Nom Nom Land: Light French style strawberry cheesecake with sweet and sour strawberry layer and crunchy chocolate on top; also there is actually a coconut in the white layer.
Oreo Eclairs: The eclair was soft, had the right amount of fillings and nice sweetness from the oreo

The healthy blend is awesome.
So Berries: raspberry, blueberry, yogurt, strawberry, chia seeds. I like the sour taste that come up in my taste bud when I drink the So berries. Its really boost my mood. Really recommend this for anyone who like berries-kinda fruit.
Pink Panther: Lychee, strawberry, yogurt, fresh milk. As the opposite of so berries, this drink taste sweeter. Perfect for anyone that needs sugar!

This is the BEST fries that I ever had. Just 1 word... WOW. Try this if you curious ;)

Truffle Fries (IDR 75k)
Duck Confit: Duck fried served with mashed potato, bean, carrot, cauliflower plus red wine. For me personally, the appearance is not that good. I expect more about this food. Also nothing special with the taste, it just flat.
Two Cheese Mac and Cheese with shaved parmesan and parsley. As you can see in the picture, also nothing special about the appearance. The taste is good, but bellow my expectation.

Overall, Nomz look is fresh and chic. This place is really good to chitchat, hangout with friends. The ambiance is very supporting for small talk, or even business talk. The food is not really recommended, but the desserts and drinks are worth to try. I think. Furthermore, I think Nomz should launch new variant of food, so the customers will not get bored for the same menu.
